March is the best time of the year, full of flowers waiting for your return.

On February 25th, under the careful planning and preparation of all staff, MIS welcomed the joyful children back amid the blooming spring, starting the new journey of the 2024 spring semester together.

The sense of occasion at the back-to-school event began with greetings from the principals of MIS. Principal Ms. Alice, Executive Principal Ms. Hermione, and Academic Principal Dr. Rath who warmly greeted all of the students and their families.

Principal David began by reflecting on the many benefits of travel and relaxing with family and friends during the Spring Festival. Now that the holiday has come to a close, it is time to begin the new semester.

Then Principal David reminded us that, getting back to work is enjoyable because learning is fun—if you do it right, such as through collaboration with others and friendly competitions.

He expressed thankfulness to the parents for their continued support thorough ongoing collaboration and communication with the school. Working with them to raise highly successful children is indeed a joy. Finally, Principal David concluded by wishing everyone a happy and prosperous New Year.

Marie LACHAUD, Vice President of the Institut Emmanuel D'Alzon, delivered a warm and enthusiastic speech as a representative of the friendly school. The Institut Emmanuel D'Alzon, with a century-old history, has in recent years welcomed hundreds of Chinese students, providing them with high-quality educational resources from undergraduate to postgraduate levels.

Marie LACHAUD expressed her honor in representing the Institut Emmanuel D'Alzon at the MIS event and looks forward to more opportunities for in-depth exchanges and collaborations among students, teachers, and schools in the future.

Furthermore, she exchanged gifts with Dr. Rath, the academic principal of MIS, on behalf of the Institut Emmanuel D'Alzon, emphasizing the cherished friendship between the two entities. Additionally, she and accompanying teacher Caroline COTTERET donated exquisite gifts for MIS's silent auction, actively participating and contributing with goodwill, adding much color to the event.

The focus then shifted to the auditorium on the second floor, where all the houses had tables filled with various items, ranging from learning tools to educational toys, home decorations, and classic books. This marks one of the most anticipated segments of the school opening ceremony - the "silent auction." 

Before the activity began, an exciting lion dance performance brought back the festive atmosphere. Students, parents, and teachers stopped to watch, cheering on the performers. Following this, parents accompanied their children, perusing the various auction items. Once they found something they liked, they left their personal information to participate in the bidding. The starting price was 5 yuan, and the highest bid was not to exceed 50 yuan. Institut Emmanuel D'Alzon, MIS students and teachers carefully selected all auction items that they felt were the most interesting and meaningful. The collected donations will be sent to the "Empty Nesters Program" in Butterfly Village, Jianyang.

The activity was designed in line with MIS's educational philosophy of "establishing roots in China and observing the world." Under the theme of "love and inheritance," the school aims to allow the students to deeply appreciate the charm of traditional culture, grow in a loving atmosphere, as well as develop the ability to love others and take on social responsibilities, helping more people to feel warmth and love.

The back-to-school season naturally included the important step of completing homework assignments. Through the clever design of teachers, students who completed their homework could earn house points to get lucky draws to win back-to-school gifts—all of which are useful study tools for students! Additionally, new students could use this opportunity to get to know their teachers and classmates and integrate into the new learning environment more quickly.

What's even more exciting was that teachers in each class carefully prepared mysterious gifts for students. Among them, the unique "fortune cookies" contained the warm blessings of the teachers, wishing each student a fruitful new semester!

Furthermore, a clean and harmonious dormitory environment is one of the external manifestations of creating a good learning atmosphere. On the first day of school, boarding students also participated in dormitory cleaning and learned the dormitory rules. As one of the reserved events for the back-to-school celebration, "Movie Night" featured classic films, allowing students to welcome a new learning journey with a fresh outlook in a pleasant atmosphere for both body and mind.

The successful implementation of any activity cannot be achieved without the dedicated efforts of the behind-the-scenes team. Before the start of school, the teachers underwent further teaching training, diligently preparing the courses to ensure the smooth progress of all teaching arrangements. The administrative and logistical teams also undertook systematic preparatory work, working round the clock before the start of school to ensure the smooth progress of our new journey.

Finally, we also want to express our gratitude to all the parents and students for their support and trust. MIS is committed to wholeheartedly cultivating global citizens and future leaders who will be globally competent and life-long learners.

最是一年春好处，满园花色待尔归。

2月25日，MIS在全员精心策划和筹备下，于春日烂漫中，迎回了欢欣雀跃的孩子们，与大家共同踏上了2024春季学期的崭新征程。

返校的仪式感始于MIS校长们的问候。总校长Ms. Alice、执行校长Ms. Hermione、学术校长Dr. Rath早早在一楼大厅等候，热情地向所有学生家庭致以亲切的问候。

学术校长Dr. Rath首先畅谈了春节期间外出旅行以及与亲朋好友共度美好时光的诸多益处。随着假期的圆满落幕，让我们一起迎接新学期的到来。

他提醒大家，重返校园投入学习是一件令人愉悦的事情，因为学习本身充满了乐趣——关键在于我们如何以正确的方式对待学习，例如与他人携手合作，在友好的竞争中共同进步。

Dr. Rath对家长们一直以来的鼎力支持表示衷心的感谢。正是由于家长们与学校的紧密合作与有效沟通，我们才能共同培养出成功的学子，这无疑让我们感到无比的欣慰与自豪。最后，Dr. Rath祝愿大家新年快乐，收获颇丰。

法国雅诵教育集团副总裁Marie LACHAUD作为友好学校代表发表了热情洋溢的致辞。作为世界知名的教育集团，拥有百年历史的法国雅诵教育集团近年来已接收了成百上千的中国学子，为他们提供学习到本科到研究生的优质教育资源。 

Marie LACHAUD还表示，非常荣幸能代表雅诵教育集团参加MIS的活动，并期待未来能有更多机会进行深入的学生、教师和学校之间的交流与合作。 

此外，她还代表雅诵教育集团与MIS学术校长Dr. Rath互赠礼物，表达了对双方友谊的珍视。同时，她与随行老师Caroline COTTERET为MIS的无声拍卖活动捐赠了精美的礼品，并积极参与其中，贡献了爱心，为此次盛会增色不少。

视线转到二楼学术报告厅，各个学院准备的桌子上都摆满了琳琅满目的物品，从学习用具到益智玩具，从家居装饰到经典图书……这正是开学庆典中学生们最为期待的环节之一——“无声拍卖”。

活动开始前，一段精彩的舞狮表演让逐渐淡去的年味再次浓厚起来，学生、家长和老师们纷纷驻足观看，连连喝彩。紧接着，家长陪伴着孩子们穿梭在各个拍卖物品之间，一旦发现心仪之物，便会留下个人信息参与竞拍。起拍价5元，最高不超过50元。所有拍卖品由法国雅诵教育集团、MIS学生和老师精心挑选出的有趣或有意义的物品组成，拍卖所得善款将全部用于简阳蝴蝶村的空巢老人计划。

整个活动的设计，MIS秉承着“根中华·瞰世界”的办学理念，以“爱与传承”为主题，让孩子们深刻体会到传统文化的魅力，在爱的氛围中茁壮成长，同时具备爱他人的能力，在力所能及的范围内承担起社会责任，帮助更多的人获得温暖和爱。

开学季自然少不了作业通关这一重要环节。在老师们的巧妙设计下，作业完成程度可以换取一定的学院分，参与抽奖，赢取开学礼物——这些可都是学生们即将派上用场的学习利器哦！同时，新同学们也能借此机会结识任课老师和同学，更快地融入新的学习环境。

更让人惊喜的是，每个班级的老师们还为学生们精心准备了神秘礼物。其中，独具特色的“幸运饼干”里藏着老师们的温馨祝福，愿每位同学在新学期里都能收获满满！

此外，整洁和谐的宿舍环境是营造良好学习氛围的外在体现之一。开学当天，住校学生还参与了宿舍整理，学习了宿舍规则。作为开学庆典的保留项目之一——“电影之夜”还播放了经典电影，让学生们在身心愉悦的氛围中，以全新的面貌迎接崭新的学习之旅。

任何活动的圆满开展，都离不开背后团队的辛勤付出。开学前，老师们接受了全面的教学培训，认真备课，确保各项教学安排的顺利展开。行政后勤团队则进行了系统的筹备工作，开学前更是昼夜兼程，事无巨细地保障我们的新旅程顺利进行。

此外，我们还要感谢各位家长和学生的支持与信任。MIS将全力以赴，致力于培养具有全球胜任力和终身学习力的世界公民与未来领袖。
